The Wonders of the World

The New 7 Wonders of the World, is a list of man-made architectural marvels chosen in 2007. They are the Great Wall of China, Petra, Christ the Redeemer, Machu Picchu, Chichén Itzá, the Colosseum, and the Taj Mahal

Add to this list, there are the Seven Natural Wonders.   The list of the Seven Natural Wonders includes: the Aurora Borealis (also known as the northern lights), Grand Canyon, United States, Great Barrier Reef, Australia, Harbor of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Mount Everest, Nepal and Tibet, Parícutin, Mexico and finally, Victoria Falls, Zambia and Zimbabwe

Further confusing the issue, there is now a list of the seven new Wonders of Nature, chosen through a global poll (NOT to be confused with the Seven Natural Wonders!!!)....  They are:  the Amazon rainforest, Hạ Long Bay (Vietnam), Iguazu Falls (Argentina/Brazil), Jeju Island (South Korea), Komodo Island (Indonesia), Puerto Princesa Underground River (Philippines), and Table Mountain (South Africa)

Finally, you have the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World: the Great Pyramid of Giza, Hanging Gardens of Babylon, Statue of Zeus at Olympia, Temple of Artemis at Ephesus, Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, Colossus of Rhodes, and the Lighthouse of Alexandria.    Only the Great Pyramid of Giza still stands today.
